Today we sat down with one of our talents, Vylia Jesters, to catch up about her career and vtubing experience. Vylia is a part of Gen 1, Inspiris, and debuted on November 15th 2024, making her a founding streamer and one of the first wave of streamers to debut on the IRIAM app! Lovingly referred to as Vy, her sweet, silly and bubbly personality as well as her determination to not let barriers hold her back from vtubing makes her a great example of a bond talent.

今日は所属タレントのひとり、Vylia Jesters（ヴィリア・ジェスターズ）さんに、これまでのキャリアやVTuberとしての経験についてお話を伺いました。ヴィリアは1期生「Inspiris」のメンバーで、2024年11月15日にデビュー。IRIAM（イリアム）アプリでデビューした記念すべき初期メンバーであり、創設期を支える配信者のひとりです！「Vy（ヴィ）」の愛称で親しまれる彼女の、優しく、お茶目で、元気いっぱいの性格や、どんな壁も乗り越えてVTuber活動に突き進む強い意志は、まさにbondのタレントの素晴らしいお手本です。まずは自己紹介をお願いします！
I got exposed to vtubers because of Hololive back in early 2021.
Hylia! It’s me, Vylia. Specifically Vylia Jester. I’m your at home jester in training!
ハイリア（Hylia）！私だよ、ヴィリア。正確にはヴィリア・ジェスターです。
I always loved the introduction that you came up for yourself! Thinking back to the beginning, why did you want to be a vtuber?
ご自身で考えたその自己紹介、いつも素敵だなと思っています！活動初期を振り返ってみて、なぜVTuberになりたいと思ったのですか？
I got exposed to vtubers because of Hololive back in early 2021. I streamed on IRIAM JP for a bit and then saw that it was coming to the US market so then I auditioned for bondlive.
2021年の初め頃に、ホロライブさんをきっかけにVTuberを知ったんだ。最初はIRIAMの日本版（JP）で少し配信していたんだけど、その後、アメリカ市場にも進出することを知って、bondliveのオーディションを受けたの。
Oh! You are the only talent in bondlive that I know that has streamed on both IRIAM JP and EN. How long did you stream on IRIAM JP?
おぉ！bondliveのタレントの中で、IRIAMの日本版と英語版（EN）の両方で配信経験があるのは、私の知る限りヴィだけです。日本版ではどれくらい配信していたのですか？
I only streamed for a few months and I made some friends. We still talk occasionally.
数ヶ月だけ配信していて、友達もできたよ。今でもたまに連絡を取り合ってるんだ。
It is still amazing that you were able to stream on IRIAM JP! I think you’re the only one that can answer this next question, what is the difference between JP and EN?
IRIAMの日本版で配信できていたなんて、やっぱりすごいですね！次の質問は、ヴィにしか答えられないと思います。日本版と英語版の違いは何だと思いますか？
It’s the people. Icon rings and wallpapers are more popular with the JP audience than EN. JP streams are more art based and idol culture. Both sides have lurkers but it is kind of the same. I streamed in English so there were people who were eager to learn English or were curious about me. The similarity is that they watch you because they want to and they send gifts when they want to, same as EN. They support you if they want to. When I streamed on JP, it was my viewers that said “you should make a discord server” and I said “I should?!!?” So that was a fun idea. I wonder how they [the viewers] are now.
We watched movies and played games [in Discord] so that was nice. It was harder because there was a language barrier. My Japanese is really limited so often times I would have to use google translate. Friendship have no borders!
「人（リスナー）」かな。日本（JP）のリスナーは、英語版（EN）のリスナーよりもアイコンリングや背景の壁紙をすごく好む傾向があると思う。日本版の配信は、よりイラスト文化やアイドル文化に根ざしている感じ。どちらの枠にも潜り（ROMリスナー）はいるから、そこは同じかな。私は英語で配信していたから、「英語を学びたい！」という意欲がある人や、私に興味を持ってくれる人が集まってくれたの。共通しているのは、みんな自分が「見たいから見る」し、「贈りたいからギフトを贈る」ということ。EN側と同じだね。応援したいから応援してくれる。日本版で配信していたとき、リスナーから「Discordサーバー作ったほうがいいよ」って言われて、「えっ？！作ったほうがいいの？！」ってなったのを覚えてる。楽しいアイデアだったな。みんな（当時のリスナー）、今どうしてるかなぁ。
Discordで映画を観たりゲームをしたりして、すごく楽しかった。ただ、言葉の壁があったからそこは難しかったかな。私の日本語は本当に拙いから、よくGoogle翻訳を使ってた。でも、友情に国境はないよね！
I see. Especially now a days when translating between langauges is not that hard. What made you decide to join IRIAM in the first place?
なるほど。特に最近は翻訳も簡単になりましたからね。そもそも、なぜIRIAMに参加しようと思ったのですか？
Because of IRIAM JP, I really like IRIAM as a platform. I am a natural talker so I was like, this is right up my alley!I thought it would be fun to try streaming in the US market. Also I saw that vtubing was really fun but I had no experience so I thought IRIAM would be a great way to start gaining experience and getting to know people.
日本版を経験して、プラットフォームとしてのIRIAMが本当に好きになったから。私、もともとおしゃべりなタイプだから「これ、私にぴったりじゃん！」って思ったの。アメリカ市場で配信に挑戦するのも楽しそうだなって。あと、VTuberってすごく楽しそうだけど、私は全くの未経験だったから、IRIAMは経験を積んだり、いろんな人と知り合ったりするのに最高のスタートラインになると思ったんだよね。
You’re voice is great for IRIAM too ! What do you like about IRIAM?
ヴィの声はIRIAMの配信に本当に合っていますよね！IRIAMのどんなところが好きですか？
I like how it’s an app that connects you more closely with the viewers because basically you have to talk to people in order to stream. It provides you with a chance to find topics or find out about your viewers, like common interests, and what they like. That way it is a lot easier to build a close knit and lasting relationship with them and build a strong community.
I also like the events that they offer. Those are always fun and we don’t really get that opportunity anywhere else. Those are really hard to organize ourselves.
配信するためには基本「人と話す」必要があるから、リスナーとの距離がより近く感じられるアプリなところが好き。共通の趣味とか相手の好きなことなど、話題を見つけたりリスナーについて知ったりするチャンスがたくさんあるの。そのおかげで、固い絆で結ばれた、長く続く関係を築きやすいし、強いコミュニティを作ることができるんだ。
あと、公式イベントがあるところも好き。いつも楽しいし、こういう機会って個人ではなかなか企画するのが難しいから、他では味わえない魅力だと思うな。
That’s really lovely! Since you talked about events what is the achievement that you are the most proud about getting?
本当に素敵ですね！イベントのお話が出ましたが、これまで獲得した実績の中で、一番誇りに思っているものは何ですか？
All of them LOL. 全部（笑）！
ーSure! You worked hard on all of them! What was the first thing that you won?
間違いないですね！どれも一生懸命頑張りましたもんね！ちなみに、一番最初に勝ち取ったものは何でしたか？
The first one?That’s a good question! Does getting the trophy count? (YES!) December 2024 Month Fan badge. That’s one of the ones that I am the most proud of achieving. I have the award sitting on my table.
一番最初？うーん、いい質問だね。トロフィーをもらったのってカウントされる？（もちろん！）2024年12月の「マンスリーファンバッジ」かな。あれは一番誇りに思っている達成感のひとつ。今もテーブルの上にそのアワードを飾っているんだ。
It’s very nice to have a physical award being there as a constant reminder of your hard work and dedication! What about the events?
努力と献身の証として、いつでも目に入る場所に形のあるアワードがあるのは本当に素晴らしいことです！イベントに関してはどうですか？
The recent card one, IRIAM Official Playing Card 2026*, is pretty nice because I’m a jester and it was playing cards so that is right up my theme and my alley. So when people get those cards, I’m really happy they get to see me. I sit right in there!
最近のカードイベント（IRIAM公式トランプ2026※）はすごく良かったな。私、ピエロ（Jester）だし、トランプは私のテーマや好みにドンピシャだったから！だから、みんながそのトランプを手に入れて、そこにいる私を見てくれたときは本当に嬉しかった。しっかり（トランプの中に）収まってるよ！

Congratulations on ranking in that one! How is IRIAM doing for you now?
入賞おめでとうございます！最近のIRIAMでの活動はいかがですか？
It’s going good. Finding time to stream has been hard but we never give up and we never back down! I got my IP! Whenever I do stream, I always enjoy doing it because my community brings me a lot of energy and happiness. Recently I have been streaming a little more than I used to.
順調だよ。配信の時間を作るのが大変なこともあるけど、「決して諦めない、決して引かない！」の精神でやってる。IP（収益化/パートナーシップ）も獲得できたし！配信するときはいつもすごく楽しんでる。コミュニティがたくさんのエネルギーと幸せをくれるから。最近は、以前よりも少し配信頻度を増やしているんだ。

Great to hear that your community keeps you motivated Vy! What is your favorite memory or moment while streaming?
コミュニティがモチベーションになっていると聞けて嬉しいです、ヴィ！配信中の、一番お気に入りの思い出や瞬間はありますか？
My favourite memory is when I created Poopy. So when I debuted, I actually don’t even know why I started to say “poopy” but now it’s like my trademark. I don’t think it was during my debut stream. It was at some point during the early months after debut. I can probably see when I made the poopy emote. Let me look… oh it doesn’t show when I added it….
一番の思い出は「プーピー（Poopy：うんちっち）」が生まれた瞬間かな。デビューしたとき、なんで自分が「プーピー」って言い始めたのか実は自分でもよく分かってないんだけど、今や私のトレードマークになってるの（笑）。デビュー配信のときではなかったと思う。デビューして数ヶ月の初期のどこかかな。「プーピー」のエモートをいつ作ったか見れば分かるかも。ちょっと見てみるね……あ、いつ追加したか表示されないや……。
That’s too bad but how did that come about?
それは残念。でも、どうしてそうなったんですか？
Oh yeah! It was the week of debut. Wait! It’s coming back to me! I started saying it before debut! I was saying it a lot to other gen 1 bondies.
あ、思い出した！デビュー週だ！待って、記憶が戻ってきた！デビュー前から言ってたんだ！同期の1期生のみんなにめちゃくちゃ言ってたの。
So then you started calling your community that?
それで、リスナーのこともそう呼び始めたんですか？
No, I started saying randomly on stream because I have an obsession with saying the word poop.
ううん、私が「うんち（poop）」っていう言葉を言うのに謎のこだわりがあって、配信中にランダムに言い始めたの。
That’s hilarious! How does your audience react to that?
それは面白いですね！リスナーの反応はどうですか？
They say it back. I would say “you poopy!” And we would go back and forth with“No! You!” “You poopy stinky!” It’s pretty cool. You probably think I’m weird.
[manager informs her about Japanese interest in poop**] Thank you! [that] just paved the way for me to go into the JP market!
みんな言い返してくるよ。私が「このプーピーめ！」って言うと、「いや、お前がな！」「この臭いプーピー！」って、お互いに言い合いになるの。最高だよ。きっと私のこと変な奴って思ってるでしょ。 （※ここでマネージャーが、日本での「うんこドリル」や「おしりたんてい」の人気について教える） え、本当に？！ありがとう！これで私が日本市場に進出する道が開けたね！（笑）

Of course we don’t! That’s just something fun that you have with your community. They probably help you keep going so how long do you want to keep streaming?
変だなんてとんでもない！コミュニティとの楽しいお決まりのやり取りですよね。リスナーの存在が原動力になっていると思いますが、これからどれくらい配信を続けたいですか？
For a while. I don’t really see myself doing any other chatting streams anywhere else besides IRIAM. I have been streaming more and consistently. I stream 3 times a week.I have been uploading more shorts consistently too and growing my socials.
しばらくはずっと続けたいな。IRIAM以外の場所で雑談配信をする自分はあまり想像できない。最近はより定期的・継続的に配信できていて、週に3回配信してるよ。YouTubeのショート動画もコンスタントに投稿していて、SNSも伸ばしてるんだ。
Hooray for more Vylia content! What about when you’re not streaming? Can you tell us what you do?
ヴィのコンテンツがもっと見られるのは嬉しい限りです！配信外の時間は何をしていますか？普段の生活について教えていただけますか？
Sure! I do have a job that I’m working and I’m also a student. I am studying while I stream and my hobbies are going to the gym recently and hanging out with my friends. Yeah… those are some of the things that I do outside of streaming.
もちろん！実は仕事もしているし、学生でもあるんだ。勉強しながら配信も頑張ってるよ。最近の趣味はジムに行くことと、友達と遊ぶこと。これが配信外での私の過ごし方かな。
Thank you! We’re almost wrapping up here so is there anything you want to say to your fans? ありがとうございます！そろそろインタビューも終盤ですが、ファンに向けて伝えたいことはありますか？
